Disable unwanted startup services & applications on Ubuntu

Disable unnecessary startup services and applications on Ubuntu by remove unused startup processes will make Ubuntu boot faster during boot time, This tutorial how to disable unnecessary startup applications and services by editing additional start up program to speed up boot process on Ubuntu or Linux Mint.

Manage and modify startup order on Ubuntu or Linux Mint to get better system performance, especially at boot time. First, open your terminal (ctrl + alt + t) and run this command:

- Display hidden start up services and applications
sudo sed -i 's/NoDisplay=true/NoDisplay=false/g' /etc/xdg/autostart/*.desktop
- Next, open "startup application"
This can be found in Applications --> System Tools --> startup application or search and run "startup application" from Ubuntu Dash.
