Download
Download newest Vivaldi browser from their official site Here. Choose whether 32-bit or 64-bit .deb package to download. Download vivaldi-stable_****_amd64.deb (at his time we got vivaldi-stable_1.2.490.43-1_amd64.deb) to install Vivaldi on Ubuntu 16.04.1 64-bit. save it to default Ubuntu 'Downloads' folder.

Installation
Install Vivaldi browser 1.2 on Ubuntu or Linux Mint using Ubuntu terminal commands. Open your terminal ( ctrl + alt + t) open 'Downloads' folder where vivaldi-stable_****_amd64.deb saved, then execute .deb file to install vivaldi using these commands:
cd ~/Downloads
sudo dpkg -i vivaldi-stable_1.2.490.43-1_amd64.deb
Now Vivaldi browser installed and ready to use on your Ubuntu or Linux Mint PC.

Uninstall
Uninstall/remove Vivaldi browser from your Ubuntu or Linux Mint PC using this terminal command:
sudo dpkg --purge vivaldi-stable

These how to download, install and remove Vivaldi browser version 1.2 on Ubuntu or Linux mint. I think there will be a official repo for the browser (Vivaldi ppa), for now there is no Vivaldi ubuntu ppa yet as they said on their forum
